What Education Really Matters?

A new decade lies ahead of us. As a commitment to my Spiritual orientation, I accepted a challenge to investigate a new form of Agriculture. This we have been busy with here on Trinity for the past 18 months. What is new under the sun with things that have been done for the past thousands of years - producing food? Well, as it is up for personal opinion but it gave me a lot of food for thought.

We now have a thriving new garden setup on the property that makes growing food such fun. It is simple and easy to maintain. It uses little water in it's design and it is totally organic. The process we adopted took into account the problems experienced by local rural population. The design of the gardens were primarily adopted to harness energy, water and natural fertilisers. We are in our third growing season now, and we will continue expanding what we have done, to see if the setup has small commercial benefit.

Over the next few weeks I plan to document this journey we walked to discover something new. Our plan is to start a school for youngsters wanting to learn a vocation - which is to be a good organic gardener. By growing food in a sustainable way - one can supply food to one's family and possibly make some income - a healthy job alternative. All that is lacking is knowledge here in the poor communities of the countryside.

As the system works, we feel that we have a package that can be taught in a few weeks of tuition and practice, something we can offer as appropriate education.

The Holidays

With summer here is Africa it is good to have nice balmy days where we are relaxing from a year's hard work. In physical, emotional, mental and Spiritual efforts 2009 has been a very interesting experience. As the close of the long dark night of the Soul comes to a close as per the Mayan calendar we enter a phase where we again can connect with the Light in the most unimaginable ways.

The study of consciousness was a good task this year and it was clearly demonstrated to me that no balance is possible if the emotional psyche is not included in the solution. Mind alone is a subroutine in the brain. To include the both the left and the right brain to confirm balance alows beliefs to be transformed to higher states of consciousness achievement. To contemplate the process of change on a Soul level allows us to evolve. I quote: “Leave it in the mystery to shine of its own light.” I Stand Before The Supreme Creator Eyes and He knows All Things In My Heart.

We love our life experience here on Trinity and without the peace our spot leaves us with (when we take notice), it would have been harder to complete this year with confidence and vision for the future. We have had some crazy experiences and looking back it has been a great opportunity to clear much of the past's emotional blockages we were carrying. Both Amanda and I have moved enormous ground and the evolution of the Soul has greater meaning for us now.

Facing this next phase of our experience will be very interesting as we walk forward on our journey to self sufficiency. I am certainly looking forward to what's next.

Why Trinity?

In a world where duality rules, we have forgotten the ancient science of the Trinity - the force that created everything. The Father, the Mother and the Son. Combined into the Ain Soph Or Light.

Our balance comes from the Light of on High. Light that forms the energy burst in the mitochondria - and we live! The Trinity is everything - so how could we not choose it as the honourable name of our Victory Farm.

Halelujah!

Longest Day in the Year

Today, sitting listening to cool music. Taking in the warm breeze and feeling the height of summer here in the Southern hemisphere. Another miracle day.

We have so much to be thankful for and to have life bless you with health and happiness is something of a miracle. Balmy green fields surround me with puffy white clouds in the sky. The birds are oblivious of my thoughts but I can't stop thinking about how happy they sound. This is surely the blessing God gives us to experience the Joy of Living on this planet!

Happy Summers' Solstice.

The Joy in Baking a Bread

Life has some strange twists and tails. Never in my life did I think that I would enjoy food from the perspective of making it. Practical things have been my focus as an engineer and I have enjoyed many opportunities to make things. Having the right mix to qualify as a success, each thing we end up creating should leave us joyful. Now having the view that the good things in life come with time and wisdom, especially considering our dependence on a system that caters to every whim humans can think off, I think the one thing we are always surprised by is the pleasure we feel when experiencing deep satisfaction when having created something new and useful.

So to my utter delight, I started enjoying the art of baking bread. We decided it was necessary to learn some home crafts to expand our ability in living off the grid. Bread baking was introduced to us by a passionate baker who showed us that using raw basic ingredients produces the most amazing breads. Stone ground flour (twice ground only) with wild yeast and Himalayan rock salt with spring water are my tools now. Every time I bake my Pain De Campaign loaf in our gas fired oven, it leaves me with more and more satisfaction.
Something so simple and enjoyable to do, can put a smile on my face every time I bite my first cut crust off a fresh loaf. This is a skill that I will cherish. Having made different styles of bread as in Essene bread and Corn loaf, my current bakes are pure pleasure. Knowing when to spray misted water into your hot oven to produce a light crust, slightly sweet from the cooling effect enhancing the sugars from the yeast are little skills that add to the comfort of making good food.

That reminds me, the bread is still warm. Another slice with real butter is calling me. Just the aroma of fresh bake leaves one self satisfied in having achieved again. I Love it!

No Power

Strange how we can be affected when our creature comforts become compromised. We lost electrical power early this morning. Probably some maintenance thing. But then I had set myself a few things to achieve today, and most of them where with using my computer. As I sat on my chair on the front veranda and had coffee this morning, it dawned upon me again that we are so conditioned that we are sometime unaware of the wonderful richness we are blessed with in life.

We live on a farm in the mountains surrounded by indigenous forrests with green fields as far as the eye can see. Blue skies with fluffy clouds slowly making their way east to the sea. The only barrier to happiness here is my mind. I am feeling frustrated because I can't go and do one of my favourite things and that is surfing the net. Food for thought here. We are in a place on this planet where we are determined to become self sufficient and less dependant on the system, and here I am having emotions about the system. Well, after a walk on the propperty to survey the rich growth in our new vegetable gardens soon gave me better perspective. Be more aware of the things you attach to and be more greatful for our blessings living out here in the country.

Life Worth Living

Today the world seems a better place. It is my perspective that has changed. Looking around where I am my eyes are full of Love for what I see. The sky is clear, the air is sweet and fresh and everything is green. Rain has soaked the earth and the springs are full. What more can one wish for?

Living in the country has allowed me to take stock of all in my life and it is clear to me what I need to be happy. It is all around me. Thank You!
